'To Scroll, is to Remember' is a multidisciplinary artistic project exploring the intersections between the black hole as deep space phenomena and the nightclub. During the 11:11 online residency Pettigrew will write a script as performance. The performance/script is informed by black hole research, archival nightclub imagery and video, in-conversation series, experimental generative systems, web3 semiotics and recalling memories. The script will blur the nightclub and the black hole as speculative spaces for imagination, discovery and world building; as well as informing and being in exchange with performance and text. The 11:11 online residency is an opportunity to develop and experiment with methods that decode performance and text; in order to examine the boundaries of these mediums and create relational interpersonal works.

Two online performances occurred during the residency: READ THRU and READ THRU 2 that emulated strands of a traditional table read. A work-in-progress script ‘To Scroll, is to Remember’ exploring the intersections between the black hole as deep space phenomena and the nightclub was read aloud; presented as a live soundscape to encourage synchronicity in the audio and visual screen share. The READ THRU 2 performance culminated in a generative act created in real-time with audience contributions and expanded fragments of multimedia reference points are exposed as reoccurring supporting characters.
